Day 2 started with a quick breakfast to get us ready for our first day on campus. We were expected at the NHL Stenden campus at 9 AM, where our supervisor Thijs Maertens and two project coordinators from NHL stenden gave us a warm welcome. They even had coffee, tea, and some pastries waiting for us.
First, we got an introduction to how the school works and some info about their different branches. After that, we had a guest lecture from a RvIG official about the security of ID cards, their chip and passports. This was honestly super interesting and full of cool facts—like the fact that a physical passport has over 200 security features to check its authenticity.
Before the lunch break, we received a €10 voucher for a meal along with a nice goodiebag. In the afternoon, ING Bank gave a presentation about using AI in programming and their global infrastructure. To top it off, the Security Officer of NHL Stenden told us all about her daily routine and her responsibilities as a cyber officer.
After i finished the security officer guest lecture i went to the old city center to do some shopping and eating kibbeling a typical dutch dish, afterwards i went back to my b&b and started getting ready for the next day.
