The first day of the international project began with meeting my group at Antwerp Central Station, after which we traveled together by train to Leeuwarden. The journey itself was smooth and gave us time to get to know each other better before arriving.
Upon arrival at Leeuwarden station, we immediately noticed the calm and organized atmosphere of the city. Just outside the station, we passed the modern bus terminal area and followed the main road toward the city center. Along the way, we crossed one of the characteristic canals, lined with typical Dutch brick houses and small cafés.
Our first priority was to reach our Airbnb, where we checked in, organized our belongings, and settled in. This step was essential to ensure that everyone was comfortable and ready for the upcoming activities.
Later in the day, we took time to explore the nearby streets. We walked through the city center, passing small local shops, bakeries, and quiet canals such as those near the Nieuwestad. This initial exploration allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the environment and get a first impression of the city.
